Bands like Au Revoir Simone and Carl Craig have lined-up to record cover versions of David Bowie, for a new compilation titled 'Life Beyond Mars', set for the end of the month.
The !K7 release began life in 2007, when the label approached a number of names for the project. Each selected artist could choose any track from Bowie's catalogue and create their own fresh interpretation, however faithful, or different, to the original.

These twelve tracks will be released on June 23rd, and the CD / 12" features specially commissioned illustrated artwork by Berlin artist Maria Tackmann (see above).
